Day 1: COPÁN MAYAN RUINS
Guided by a english speaking guide and expert on Mayan culture, we will visit the Acropolis, where 17 Mayan emperors ruled, which is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Copán was the artistic center and one of the most important sites of the MAYA civilization. In the afternoon, we will visit a Mayan museum to have a first approach with the Mayan world.

Day 2: THERMAL WATER
In the majestic mountains north of Copan (45 minute car ride), you can soak in the thermal waters naturally exuding from the earth.
Day 3: Bird Park - macaw Mountain
An exciting conservation project just outside Copan. See over 330 identified species of birds in the area. Visitors stroll along forest trails viewing brilliant multi-colored parrots, macaws and toucans, and other rare and endangered birds.
Extensions or possible excursions on days 2 and 3:
• Las Sepulturas (ruins of a Mayan village)
• Visit a coffee plantation and hacienda
• Add one day to visit the colonial town of Santa Rosa de Copán (Lenca Trail) and the Tobacco Factory
